BRANCO FROM WOLLONGONG

Last night a call came in. Pretty Late. The Transitional Branko was heading South from Brisbane to his hometown of Wollongong to begin the next chapter of his life – guitars in tow. He had crossed the Bellinger when he realised how close he was to Izzy’s abode so he made the call and was awarded the Van that the Flood went through for his accommodation instead of parking up against a wall in Kempsey as he had planned.

Late night talks and a good sleep and Branko is somewhere down that long and winding road. Listen out for his name and his music in the Gong.

IZZY AND THE RALEIGH RUMBLINGS

IZZY AND THE RALEIGH RUMBLINGS

Last Sunday of every month is RALEIGH RUMBLINGS day in the old SCHOOL OF ARTS HALL. This is MUSOS’ DAY. Izzy gets there early and sets up the stage. He is often assisted by the efficient GEORGE FINNEY and a variety of local and travelling minstrels. There’s no charge for this one. Bring a Plate – country style. Write your name on the Chalkboard and off we go.

SANDRA AND IZZY – 7 MARCH 2014

SIXTY SIX EYES 2016 VISIONS FROM AN ESTUARINE ELDERWOMAN

We don’t get many pop in visitors but the other day SANDRA CLARK called in unexpectedly to talk music with Izzy.  Plans are afoot for a fundraiser and the theme is BOB DYLAN. It will be held at the Lodge in Bellingen and Izzy and Sandra are up for some duo work. They have the song list in front of them but obscured to keep the surprise element intact.
