Last Thursday of the Month. every month, sees the MUSIC CAFE at the EMPORIUM. Its a blackboard listing for the Musos and Specialty dining courtesy of Peter and his kitchen. Annie and Peter are hosts for the evenings and Izzy has had the privilege of playing at three nights to date and EmCeeing the June Cafe. The talent is eclectic and crosses all boundaries of genre, age, sex etc.
Izzy Foreal ( then Peter Knox ) recorded this video with Rick Springfield. Dave the Bloke Ovenden is on Drums. They were in there to do their own recording with perhaps Johnny and the Ringworms or the THIRD UNION BAND. They did that. They did HIGHWAY RIDER which will be up soon. Rick S was just going to record some songs with his guitar as he was on his way to catch the plane to stardom – then he said ” Hey would you guys like to back me on these songs ? ” Izzy and Co didn’t know he was going to go away and be famous or they would have been nervous. He had already released SPEAK OT THE SKY as a single , probably his last single in Australia before he left But Iz and Dave and Graham Lister and Red McKelvie got to play it live with him.
The year before he were up in Brisbane playing with Waldo in THE FISHERMEN and having a curse put on him by a lady who shall remain nameless.
