MUSIC CAFE AT THE SOUTH GRAFTON EMPORIUM 31 SKINNER STREET.

This week sees the 4th MUSIC CAFE of 2009. Hosts ANNIE DODD and PETER FREEMAN open the doors for this unique and eclectic potpourri of local and visiting musicians.  NOT A NIGHT TO MISS !

6.30 pm start.

FINE FOOD. GRAND COMPANY. MUSIC TOO MOTLEY TO MISS.

$3 entry with funds going to Local Charities.

THE TRAVELLING GRANNIES.

This month sees long time supporters of the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter, THE TRAVELLING GRANNIES, commencing fund raising activities . I don’t know the TRAVELLING GRANNIES but I spotted the article in the DAILY EXAMINER  and they sound worthy of support. They are due to set out on a horse riding excursion from KARANGI to COUTTS CROSSING on 28 AUGUST ‘09. Music Cafe this week with Izzy as M.C. starts off the money raising. What a Great Combo – a terrific service in the WESPTAC RESCUE HELICOPTER and  a unique way to raise funds.

PASTA. PASTA. PASTA. Peter has Pasta on the menu this month. One thing suits Iz and the Chick very well and that’s the Emporium’s vegetarian options. They are DELICIOUS, NEVER DULL and ENORMOUS. For the carnivores, the same credo applies. DELICIOUS. NEVER DULL. ENORMOUS. Forgot to mention – WELL WITHIN THE BUDGET.

MUSIC CAFE JUNE 09 SOUTH GRAFTON EMPORIUM

Last Thursday of the Month. every month, sees the MUSIC CAFE at the EMPORIUM. Its a blackboard listing for the Musos and Specialty dining courtesy of Peter and his kitchen. Annie and Peter are hosts for the evenings and Izzy has had the privilege of playing at three nights to date and EmCeeing the June Cafe. The talent is eclectic and crosses all boundaries of genre, age, sex etc.

IZZY AND KARL MULLAN

IZZY AND KARL ARE IN REHEARSAL FOR THE JULY ILNAM WINERY GIG. LAST SUNDAY IN JULY.
IZZY SPOTTED KARL AND HIS LADY SHAZ AT THE EMPORIUM MUSIC CAFE AND WAS IMPRESSED. HE INVITED THEM TO JOIN HIM AT ILNAM AND REHEARSALS ARE UNDERWAY.
KARL AND SHAZ ARE CONTEMPORARY ACCOUSTIC PERFORMERS FROM WHIPORIE WAY WHO CREATE THEIR OWN UNIQUE VERSIONS OF SONGS FROM A VARIETY OF GENRES.
THESE INCLUDE NORAH JONES, COLD CHISEL, HANK WILLIAMS, BOB DYLAN, DR HOOK AND PLENTY MORE. SEE YOU AT ILNAM ON THE LAST SUNDAY.

WEEKEND JULY 10-11

FRIDAY NIGHT IZZY IS BACK AT LUFFLEY CAFE IN MURWILLUMBAH AND SATURDAY NIGHT IS THE FLUTTERBIES CAFE IN TYALGUM FOR JAZZ NEW ORLEANS STYLE.

IZZY TAKES A WEEKEND OFF

First weekend of July, Izzy is taking a break.  Back on deck next weekend at LUFFLEY and the for the NEW ORLEAANS JAZZ NIGHT on Saturday at FLUTTERBIES CAFE, TYALGUM along with Kel Macintosh and Scrubby Pete Hurcombe – THE JAZZ CANARIES.
