SUNDAY 29 12 NOON NSW : ILNAM ESTATE WINERY FOR LUNCH WITH IZ AND PETE LAWSON.
Izzy played with the Banditz this weekend Bangalow Pub on Friday Night and Lennox Point Saturday. Lennox was packed as per usual. Davey Rankin put in a guest appearance on trombone and assorted other oddities.

IZZY has picked up his WASHBURN Bass for the last few gigs. Iz played the Washburn at Bangalow Friday Night in the last set and needs a new strap if he’s going to keep playing because of the weight of the Washburn. This weekend his little KAY was his main instrument. If WASHBURN doesn’t go to a good home before the next gigs, look for the new strap.
Izzy also met up with LYNNETTE KOMIDAR who is webmaster of the MUSICAL NOTES Blog – Lynne writes about GROWING UP IN KINGS CROSS and covers the Music Scene of the 1960s at TAYLOR SQUARE and the CROSS.
Tentative rehearsals today on the Northern Gold Coast but Izzy suspects that the next ZARSOFF lineup will come from the CLARENCE Area – a much more fitting location for humour and entertainment of this ilk.
Approaches have been made by Lunatics from Izzy’s History who seem to have been called to THE BIG RIVER. Early April sees the next venture South where he has been promised a Bedouin Tent, a restored Saraton Theatre, a Pelican Playhouse and various other Zarsoffian Lures.

IZZY and THE HILLBILLY BLUES BANDITS are on the NORTHERN RIVERS all weekend. FRIDAY NIGHT BANGALOW at 8pm. and SATURDAY NIGHT at LENNOX POINT PUB which appears not to have been torn down as previously reported. Lennox till late.
PETER JAGGLE will be back on drums with SCRUBBY and IZZY.

Take a look at KIRRA PUB Saturday Nights for MATT ROGERS. Matt did the music for the Nerang Wedding last night with Iz on Bass. They hasn’t met before so it was an experience. Matt is an exciting young player on the Southern End of the Gold Coast. 
MUSIC MAY WELL BE THE UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE BUT IT HAS MANY DIALECTS.
Izzy is honoured to be joining Matt to provide the music at Nephew Cameron’s wedding today . Semi- Formal wedding music. Best Wishes to Cameron and Sian. Chick and Iz are putting on their high heels and straightening the bowties and heading north.
Izzy is off tonight to TALLEBUDGERA VALLEY where the Bandits are Headliners. Hillbillies did a gig there in 08 and the setup was first class. Looks good for tonight as well. Tonight is IZZY FOREAL, SCRUBBY PETE and JIM DUKE-YONGE.

Took a Sunday Afternoon drive today and on the way back to Bilambil from Bangalow, heard the throb of a stompbox. Iz followed the musical instinct and there was SLIM PICKENS playing to swimmers and tennis players. Iz and the Chick added one more coke and a lemon squash to their day’s drinking and sat down to catch the last 3 songs. Izzy is enjoying being out and about and hearing Musos he hasn’t had a chance to hear before. Slim posed with Izzy in front of the misleading sign and presented us with the new CD NEXT TIME with Slim and Dr Baz. Great stuff with some fine backing musos and several original tracks. Slim was off to BRUNSWICK PUB for a night gig there with Dr Baz. Thanks Slim. Really enjoyed the mini-afternoon and am listening to the NEXT TIME right now.
