BEEN a busy Springtime . Izzy took a week’s break to travel South. Sunday 21st September he conducted a workshop at the CLARENCE VALLEY CONSERVATORIUM in GRAFTON and then headed down to Bellingen and up to Armidale. The Galloway Gig fell through due to the fear that he might use the word ‘PISS’ and embarrass us all.

IZZY IS GOING SOUTH
Tonight Izzy is at LUFFLEY CAFE in MUWILLUMBAH with Kel and Scrubby. Its SPEED ON TWEED so it could be a wild night. Then thats it at this end for a week . Iz is heading south as his alter ego PETER KNOX to host a DRAMA WORKSHOP at the CLARENCE VALLEY CONSERVATORIUM in GRAFTON. Then on to BELLINGEN where he may be at the LIVE MIKE NIGHT at the FEEDERAL HOTEL in BELLINGEN and up to ARMIDALE and a guest appearance at the GALLOWAY. Then back to base for LUFFLEY FASHION PARADE FRIDAY 26 SEPTEMBER.

TALLEBUDGERA JAMFEST
STILL don’t know what JAMFEST was quite about. Nor who organised it but this I do know IT WAS GOOD. Drove out through the Burbs to the Talley Valley. It was dark by the time we got there albeit a full Pisces moon was shining. Bit of anxiety all round. Ticket check at the gate and parking through the mud. Seemed to be some drinking and wandering going on. Located the stage and Scrubby with friend Keith from Narooma. Turned out to be a really fine night. Excellent organisation. Young musos and old musos. An amazing all female lineup followed The HILLBILLY BLUES BANDITZ and PHOENIX RISING came before with ONE SONG – a very long song about which they later said -”Noone told us it was a family festival. “. The transitions between bands were as smooth as. Bravo Talley Valley JAMFEST !
HILLBILLIES featured LILY WHITE on harmonica. JIM DUKE-YONGE on drums and PETE SCRUBBY and IZZY as per usual.

LUFFLEY AND JAMFEST
WEEKEND SEPTEMBER 12-14.
Friday Nights take a look at LUFFLEY CAFE in MURWILLUMBAH. Izzy plays there with Scrubby Pete Hurcombe and Kel MacIntosh. Sidewalk Music it is or perhaps Footpath. LUFFLEY CAFE brings elegance to the Murbah Streets – fine food and wonderful coffee. Although the Bowl of Chocolate with Coconut sauce which Lee from Byron chose the other night daunted other drinkers. Friday nights feature fine cocktails which add a touch of brilliance to the Lads’ Music and bring people to their dancing feet. Chick likes the Frittata and this week went for the lime cheesecake. Gorgeous range of cakes and truly nice people. Don’t miss it. Its Kel’s gig which ain’t bad for 84. He fetched Scrubby in and Scrub called in Izzy. Friday Nights. 7pm till late – ish.
